Chibuzor Nelson Azubuike popularly known via the stage name – Phyno is a Nigerian indigenous rapper, singer, record producer and songwriter whose track “I’m A Fan” from his album “Playmaker” was allegedly stolen by Pia Mia an American singer, model and songwriter from Guam, he has finally responded to the issue.
The news of the song being stolen became known the instance Pia Mia tweeted on the 26th of May 2017 that her single, I’m A Fan is finally out for download. As fans listened to the song, it was very vivid that everything in the song wasn’t her concept as the lyrics, song title and beat were exactly the same as Phyno’s “I’m A Fan” which he had released on his album back in 2016.
After her tweet, the internet went crazy as Nigerians kept calling her out for a ‘copy and paste’ situation. Fans began to judge the situation on social media as they actually didn’t really know if there was a deal between Phyno and Pia Mia or NOT.
Phyno finally made it clear to us as he took to his Twitter and tweeted: “U will hear from me and my team at the right time…”. Although we are yet to confirm who the tweet was directed to, if it was Pia Mia, Jeremih or Remo the producer who supposedly worked on the beat with phyno on the “I’m A Fan” song.
U will hear from me and my team at the right time ..
