Knowing your body type is very important as it would guide you to the right type of exercises and diet, it also helps in choosing the best cloth that suits one.Our everyday description of people are thin,small,large,and round etc, but it is actually more complex than such verb. There are different body types which can contribute to the lifestyle, level of fitness,genetics one attain.
The main body types includes; mesomorph, ectomorph, and endomorph .
- ECTOMORPH – an ectomorph tends to be thin, and struggle to gain weight as either body fat or muscle. They eat piles of food and stay looking the same, even when gaining muscular weight is their biggest goal. Ectomorphs have lean build and limbs and small muscles bellies. If an ectomorph manages to put on weight they may still look skinnier. Some traits are narrow hips and clavicles, small joints, thin build, stringy muscle bellies, etc.
- MESOMORPH – the mesomorph have wide shoulders, a narrow waist , relatively thin joints and round muscles bellies. If you are a mesomorph, you have the natural tendency to be fit and relatively muscular. Some traits are wide clavicles, narrow waist, thinner joints and long round muscles bellies.
- ENDOMORPH – the endomorph tends to gain weight and their build is is a little wider than the ectomorph and mesomorph with a thick rib cage, wide hips and shorter limbs. They also have more muscles than other body types. Some traits include thick rib cage,wide thicker joints,hips wider than clavicles, shorter limbs.
