Dandruff is known as a scalp condition that affects the hair which causes itching and flaking, which results to self-esteem problems in the society that affects half of the adults basically the males more than females. Dandruff is said to be caused by dry skin, not cleaning or scrubbing of hair properly, shampooing all the time and eczema.

Meanwhile weather, poor hygiene, less sleep, improper diets and diets are major causes of dandruff in the scalp.

Below are the basic and important homemade remedies for dandruff that can be found in every kitchen:

#1 Aspirin: By crushing the two pieces of aspirin to a fine powder and adding it to the normal amount of shampoo you use each time, leave the mixture for 1-2 minutes then rinse.

#2 Baking Soda: As mentioned earlier your kitchen holds the key to less itching and itch free of dandruff. Baking soda is times two more effective dandruff remedy, wet your hair and apply handful of baking soda vigorously on your scalp, skip shampoo and go straight to rinsing. It helps reduce the fungi that causes dandruff.

#3 Apple Cider Vinegar: This changes the PH of your scalp, making it harder for yeast to grow. Mix a quarter of vinegar and a quarter of water in a spray bottle then spritz on your scalp, wrap your hair after this for an hour then wash your hair as usual.

#4 Coconut Oil: Before showering, massage your scalp with coconut oil then sit for about an hour, shampoo normally after this.

#5 Aloe Vera: All of the above remedies will make dandruff go away, but aloe vera doubles as an itch fighter. Stop yourself from scratching by applying aloe vera into your scalp before  shampooing.
