Femi Kuti Nigerian afrobeats legend was reported to have broken the World Record last week for “the longest continuous note on a saxophone using the circular breathing method” as he played his saxophone for 46mins 38secs.
However, the celebration was found out to have occured before the proper time due to a man by the name Van Burchfield from the USA had played for 47 minutes.
The afrobeat legend, Femi however went ahead to prove to all that he is truly a legend at what he does best, as he has broken Van Burchfield record to become the World record holder for “the longest continuous note on a saxophone using the circular breathing method”. He took to his Twitter page (@femiakuti) to announce the new record of 51mins 38secs 83mili secs:
