Marie Borges Is The New Face Of L’Oréal | “I Believe in the Beauty of Diversity”

Maria Borges an Angolan model who is a regular model for Victoria’s Secret runway has just been announced as L’Oréal Paris new face. Borges made the headlines back in 2015 for being the first model with an afro to walk for Victoria’s Secret show and she has also modeled for Balmain, Givenchy and Chanel.

She was a winner of the Elite Model search in Angola back in 2010. Even with her starring in campaigns for L’Oréal Paris and Hydra Genius, her new deal allows her to select a model to make her runway debut at Paris Fashion Week, Nigerian Model Olamide Ogundele.

I believe in the beauty of diversity and the empowering message that a girl who started from the bottom can be an international beauty symbol and be living proof that our dreams are valid, and the future ahead of us is bright, she said.

Borges joins other L’Oréal faces Eva Longoria, Blake Lively, Jennifer Lopez, Doutzen Kroes, and Liya Kebede.
